My favorite part of shooting Josh & Colleen’s wedding:
I would say one of my favorite parts about shooting Josh and Colleen’s wedding was that we didn’t feel rushed. We had scheduled plenty of time prior to the ceremony to complete all of the photos, which then allowed for the bridal party to freshen up as guests arrived. Josh and Colleen are a beautiful couple and it was easy to see how in love they are. Plus, they had a getaway car I would absolutely love to have at my own wedding! I think it is so important to hire wedding vendors that are passionate about what they do and will fully be engulfed in the magic of your day, I was definitely swept away that day.
My thoughts on post wedding shoots:
I have become such a huge fan of after the wedding shoots. This can be done when you get back from your honeymoon, a few months after your wedding or even a year or two down the road. Often on a wedding day, you might not have time to drive to multiple locations and just spend time being together, being in love. These sessions have gained popularity over the years as most brides do not want to risk getting their dress dirty on their wedding day {completely understandable} but would love to get some creative shots on the beach, roaming around the city or drifting through local corn field. It’s such a wonderful opportunity to take that expensive dress out one more time, transform into a beautiful princess for the afternoon and create breathtaking images of love. It also gives the couple a chance to have fun, without any cares and truly be themselves.
