I think large flowers placed in your hair makes for the perfect pinup hair style.  It’s soft, romantic and flirty at the same time.  I LOVE this look that Joey Nicole captured from one of her gorgeous girls featuring a beautiful aqua blue and green flower fascinator.  So, I made a few of my own now found in my ETSY shop (here)! We’re So EXCITED!

You may recall Joey Nicole Photography from an earlier post featuring engagement photos featuring balloons as props (here). Jonnathan and I have been HUGE fans for quite some time, following her work and even her diet at the Paleo Blog! I know sounds kinda strange, but it’s AMAZING!  Jonnathan has lost 20 lbs and I have lost 10 since the beginning of February!  Anyway… the exciting news is that Jonnathan just finished designing Joey Nicole’s BRAND NEW BOUDOIR PHOTOGRAPHY website.  Her work is breath-taking, sexy, classy and well I’m pretty much ready to schedule my own Boudoir session!  I may need to sip on some champagne first though I LOVE Jonnathan’s design for her.  I hope you Brides, Wives, and Divas out there consider Boudoir Photography as an awesome gift to give your special someone!

I might add too, that I’ve viewed quite a few Boudoir Photographers out there and I appreciate that Joey Nicole has the perfect balance of capturing your natural beauty and not “over-blurring or air-brushing” the hell out of the image. Her sets, lighting, and personality I am sure will make you feel your most glamorous ever!

I think guys have an appreciation for a “real” woman and I love that Joey Nicole gives us that!
She’s a “real” photographer with “real” talent!

It’s true…Jonnathan and I have been engaged since the end of July and still haven’t done our engagement photos… We’re both stubbornly determined not to get them done until we are both happier with our weight.  I know, sounds ridiculous, but we really want to feel our best!  Plus, we’re waiting for the trees to blossom and things to warm up a bit more.  Ryan and Joelle, our photographers from FS Photography have some awesome ideas (I promise I’ll let you in on the details!) Anyway…I have fallen in love with engagement photos that feature props, in particular BALLOONS! It’s perfect for Jonnathan and I!  We can feature our romantic side AND our playfulness!!!  How gorgeous are these images from two of my favorite photographers: Caroline Tran based out of CA and Joey Nicole a local photographer based out of Seattle!

And well…since I mentioned it.  I hate to call it a diet…cause it really isn’t dieting, but rather EATING HEALTHY – Joey Nicole and her sister have a blog that has been IMMENSELY HELPFUL for Jonnathan and I to get fit and healthy!  It’s called Paleo Girls! Basically, it’s taking all the nasty processed foods out and focusing on eating what our bodies were designed to have.  Check it out!  I KID YOU NOT I’VE LOST 5.4LBS SINCE THE BEGINNING OF FEBRUARY AND JONNATHAN HAS LOST 10 LBS!!!!! Regardless of weight loss, we feel incredible! I’m never going back to the way we used to eat!!!! Thanks Joey Nicole!!!!
